For in-person sessions, you may pay by check, cash or credit card. Many people use their flexible spending account or Health Savings Account. For Teletherapy (online) the fee is paid by credit card only, through Stripe, a safe and secure way to pay. (See more about Teletherapy here.)
Regular 50-60 minute session -- $150 (see "Fee Adjustments" below.) Extended sessions of 80 - 90 minutes, by request -- $225 Extra service: providing a Superbill with diagnosis -- the first one costs $25, after that $5 each.
I am not covered by any health insurance companies. Paying me privately does not require a mental health diagnosis, and nothing goes into your permanent health record from me.
If you wish, however, I can provide you with a statement ("Superbill") for you to give your insurance. There is a small fee for this; please see below. Also, be aware that a Superbill *does* require me to assign you a mental health diagnosis on the bill, and there may be a delay in your receiving reimbursement.
To receive a Superbill, you must still pay me at the time of each session. You then seek direct reimbursement from your insurance company afterward. Reimbursement is only between you and and your insurance provider, and does not involve me. Some insurance policies will reimburse you directly for an "out-of- network" portion of your cost, but you should ask how much they will reimburse you, and what they need from you. Charge for providing a Superbill with diagnosis: the first one costs $25, after that it's $5 each.
